I think I'm going to start leaving some tools in my car. Gonna try to repair a broken laptop with this kit.

Best bit set I've ever found:

Dat Tundra.
I have a small Craftsman mechanics toolbox from when I went to vocational school in high school. I keep that in my car with my socket sets, torx bits, screw drivers, allen keys, hammers, pliers, dikes, wrenches, etc. Rarely do I use them on my own car but they come on handy nonetheless.

You never know when you might need them. Also it's a Sequoia but close enough ¶:

Yeah, just $20! High quality, the bits haven't stripped at all. Very impressed, even for a Griot's product. I use it all the time.

Can never be too prepared! Right now I have a flathead screwdriver, washer fluid, rubber cement, Vaseline, WD 40, oil, power steering fluid, a bottle jack, tow straps, and white lithium in my car.
Sounds like a recipe for a wild night, I know.

I have the same set. I have fixed countless iPhones and laptops with it. Best $10 bucks I have spent.

Hand to heart, I once saw a Sequoia run a 14.8 stock at the track. go ahead and call BS but i promise that's what I saw lol :] For something that weighs 100 million pounds, that's not too bad

That's damn impressive considering my Legacy GT ran around the same

The Gerber multi-tool is well worth the $50

Yeah the 5.7L isn't a slouch. It feels downright fast at times, for a 3 ton machine.

The one thing I don't have is a tire plug kit. My car comes with fix-a-flat and it has an inflator, but I'd rather plug it.
And I was going to add "or Sequoia" haha. The silver and black dash reminds me of black and white cookies.

Sequoia, 6 speed auto is the only transmission. What's your problem with the "S" mode? It comes in handy for engine braking and such.

It's just a behemoth of a vehicle that I don't believe needs a manual-select option. I could see if you're towing, but then again 9/10 of people who own a truck simply just hook it up and go without any consideration of leaving it in a lower gear. Just give it a "tow" button and be done with it

There is a tow/haul button, next to the differential lock one. As I said before, though, there are good reasons to have a manual mode. Most automatics (NOT CVTs) I've driven have a manual mode anyways so it's not a big deal and I don't see why you seem so buttHz about it.

I can see that we're not going to agree on this so I'm just going to leave it alone

They're good cars for what they are. Definitely not the best, but a good car if you want something inexpensive, fun, reliable, and utilitarian. We're on our 3rd and have been extremely happy with each and every one of them.
You have one too?

Yeah we've had a 2009 and now a 2011 Forester and they have never had issues in the bad winters we've had the past few years.

Awesome! We just picked up a 2009 Forester last summer. It's my wife's daily, but no problems yet. Had an 06 LGT that I traded in on the Forester (got a dog so we "needed" the space, and my wife wanted a new car anyway) and I'm driving my wife's old car, an 03 Impreza Outback wagon which runs like a tank.
